Annual NW Parenting and Family Education Conference - March 25- 27 -
Lynnwood, WA
The Northwest Parenting and Family Education conference will be held on
March 25 - 27, 2009, at Edmonds Community College in Lynnwood, WA.
The conference theme is Communication, Cooperation and
Collaboration. Keynote and featured speakers include: Janet
Gonzalez-Mena. The author of several books including 50 Early Childhood Strategies for Working
and Communicating with Diverse Families. Dr. Andrew N.
Meltzoff. The Job and Gertrud Tamaki Endowed Chair and
Co-Director of the University of Washington Institute for Learning and
Brain Sciences. He is an internationally renowned expert on
infant and child development. Dr. Marcelo Diversi. An
assistant professor at Washington State University Vancouver. He
studies the intersection between parenting and education among Latino
immigrant families and will discuss bicultural parenting and education
and Jackie McReynolds. The Academic Coordinator for Human
Development at Washington State University Vancouver. She in an
expert on the impact of meth manufacture and use on families and
