Awards and Recognition

The National Council on Family Relations, the NCFR Sections, and the Affiliate Councils have established modes of appreciation to recognize those individuals/groups that further the interests of the organization and/or exemplify the standards to which members aspire.These are distinguished colleagues who have unselfishly dedicated themselves to working in the family field, and have given outstanding service. NCFR provides a vehicle for honoring these people through its awards program.

Nominate Your Colleagues

Give honor to whom honor is due!

The National Council on Family Relations, the NCFR sections, and the Affiliate Councils have established modes of appreciation to recognize those individuals/groups that further the interests of the organization and./or exemplify the standards to which members aspire.

NCFR Innovation Grants

NCFR will award up to two $10,000 grants during 2013-14. The grants program is designed to enhance interdisciplinary collaborations around issues of importance to family well-being.

NCFR Fellow Status

Fellow Status in NCFR is an honor awarded to relatively few living members on the basis of their outstanding contributions to family science. Nominations of all family professionals who have made contributions to the family field are encouraged.

Affiliate Councils Awards

The submission deadline for 2013 award applications/nominations has been extended to June 9.

CFLE Special Recognition Award

Each year the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) recognizes a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) who has contributed to the success of the CFLE program.

NCFR Honors Student Recognition Program

The NCFR honors student recognition program recognizes undergraduate and graduate student members at graduation. Apply early in the final term of your program.
