Purpose:

Family Therapy Section paper awards are intended to foster scholarly activity and to assist in identifying future leaders.

Award (Plaque, Money, Recognition, etc.):

The award winner will receive a $250 cash award and a certificate. Two awards will be presented - one for Student and one for New Professional. The awards will be presented annually at the Family Therapy Section Annual Meeting at the NCFR Annual Conference.

Criteria:

• Student or NP within three years of graduation
• Current member of NCFR and the Family Therapy Section when proposal is submitted
• First author on paper submitted to section
• Must present paper at the annual conference

Nomination/Application Process:

• Upon acceptance of paper for presentation, students will be contacted by a section representative and invited to apply and submit their papers for award consideration.

Deadline for Application:

Application and draft papers are due to the awards chair no later than 45 days prior to the conference.
