Fall 2012 MNAFEE Professional Development Workshops
Approved for CFLE Continuing Education Credit (5 Contact Hours/.5 CEUs)
Because early development unfolds within the parent-child relationship, effective work with very young children requires that we understand the challenges of their parents. Among those challenges are parental mental health and the social-emotional development of their children.
Workshops will be presented in seven locations across Minnesota from October 3 to December 7. Check-in opens at 8:30 am. The workshop begins at 9:00 am and ends at 3:30 pm. Morning refreshments and lunch are included.
Objectives:
This day long training offers an overview of the developmental process of mental health, risk factors that can derail this development, and strategies for identifying and working with young children and their parents with mental health difficulties.
