Recertification
CFLEs with Full Certification must submit evidence of 100 hours of continuing education activity every five years. Continuing education includes additional academic courses completed, attendance at conferences, seminars, workshops and trainings, and work experiences that are new or different from those included in the original CFLE application, i.e. development and/or teaching of a new course/program, etc.
Submission Deadline
Continuing education credits are due in the final month of the five year cycle. For example, if you are first approved as a CFLE in April of 2009, your five year cycle would be April 1, 2009 to March 31, 2014. Your continuing education credits would be due by April 1, 2014. NCFR will send a reminder notice approximately six months before the credits are due.
Fees
The recertification fee is $125 for NCFR members and $180 for non-members. The fee includes the CFLE Annual fee for the next year.
