Reuben Hill Award
Purpose:
The award is presented to the author(s) of the best research article for the year prior to the award. The award is given in recognition of the outstanding article, book, or monograph that combines theory and methodology in the analysis and interpretation of a significant family issue.
Award (Plaque, Money, Recognition, etc.):
A plaque is given to each author of the award-winning article, and a cash award of $1,000 and $750 travel allowance are divided equally among all the authors. The award is presented yearly.
Criteria:
The award is for an article that made a substantial and significant contribution to family research and theory.
Nomination/Application Process:
There is no nomination process for this award. A committee conducts an evaluation of the top scholarly journals in the family field.
Deadline for Application:
NCFR will be notified of the Reuben Hill Award winners by July 31st.
