The Counseling orientation emphasizes strengths and wellness, with special attention to oppressed groups who have been denied access to resources. Couple and Family Counseling is a specialty area in Counseling. Doctorally prepared Counselors with a Couple and Family specialty can expect a favorable employment climate in colleges and universities.
