Marriage & Family Counseling Program

Our masters degree in marriage and family counseling is situated in the School of Christian Studies. Courses offered prepare students for licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and/or a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of ALabama. Students are required to complete graduate coursework in biblical studies as well as counseling. The degree integrates systems thinking with traditional individual theories of counseling and Christian theological concepts. Faculty members are seminary trained and experienced in the practice and supervision of counseling. A special concern of the program is the personal development of the student as a person as well as a counselor.
