Bowling Green Family and Marriage Conference

July 19, 2011 - July 20, 2011
Bethesda, Maryland

Each year the National Center for Family & Marriage Research organizes a large research conference as an efficient means to share research results, bring researchers and policy makers together, and generate new research based on input from leading scholars and policy makers.

This year's conference, Counting Couples, Counting Families, responds to the increasing complexities of family structure and living arrangements that raise important new questions for social science research and policy analysis and present measurement challenges. Our goal is to bring together researchers, federal data providers, and policy makers to build on the foundation established by the previous Counting Couples conferences.

Topics include: Same- and Different-sex Marriage, Remarriage, Cohabitation, Divorce and Separation, Family Structure and Instability, Family Ties across Households.
