NCFR’s first webinar for family life educators and related professionals, An Introduction to Ethical Thinking and Practice for Family Professionals-A Case Study Approach, will feature an introduction to the Minnesota Council on Family Relations’ Ethical Thinking and Practices process.
This interactive webinar will include:
- Brief history of the development of the ethical principles and practice process
- Three approaches to ethics (relational, principles, and virtues)
- A review of ethical principles for parent and family life educators,
- A case study analysis process for applying the principles to ethical dilemmas
- Problem solving the difference between ethical situations and dilemmas
- Discussion of the implications and challenges to using the ethical principles and practice process in parent and family life education and related settings.
Participants will engage in the webinar through questions and responses throughout the presentation. Opportunities for follow up and further discussion will be available through online resources and at NCFR.
