Young adults have the highest rates of unintended pregnancy in the United States, as well as high rates of STDs. Two recently published Child Trends' studies in the journal, Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health, assess how risk factors in adolescence and relationship characteristics in young adulthood are associated with reproductive health outcomes among this population.
The Things to Know Before You Say "Go" materials help teens learn more about themselves and their potential partners before entering intimate relationship. Teens examine a vast range of behaviors and attitudes they may encounter when dating. They assess which traits are most and least appealing and realize the need to know more before making a deep emotional investment.

Intended for parents, the series can be invaluable as a "survival guide" for any parent or caregiver of teenagers.
