Family Caregiving of Older Adults
Presented by:William Haley
The U.S. society is on the cusp of the baby boomers turning 65 and moving into their later years. Many in this group currently or will soon provide care to their aging parents, or due to age-related illness may require care themselves. It is important that family scholars consider ways families will influence and be influenced by trends in caregiving. The proposed session involves inviting an established family caregiving researcher, Dr. William Haley, of the University of South Florida, to present a Special Session sponsored by the Families and Health Section, as well as the Issues in Aging Focus Group.
