Creating and Managing your Online Professional Identity
Presented by: Rachel Engler, Katherine Gerst, Jennifer Doty, Matthew Doty
The purpose of this presentation is to present and discuss issues related to your professional online identity. Panel discussants will cover issues such as how to create, manage, and maintain your online professional identity, using online sources while on the job market, how to use the internet to reach students and other professionals, and distinguishing your professional and personal identities online, especially among social networking sites. In the current shifting economy it is important to be mindful of your online presence as perspective employers, potential colleagues, and future students may turn to the internet to find out more about you.
