Strategic Marketing to the Military Community for Service Providers

Presented by: Kami A. Merrifield, Elizabeth Ann Carroll, Catherine Smith, Dennis K. Orthner

Reserve and National Guard families frequently reside far from base and rely on community service agencies, universities and communities of faith to meet their needs. However, these providers must be able to identify those requiring services as well as the services needed. Collaborative relationships with constantly changing military personnel must be developed and maintained. Creditability and trust must be established with the military-which is often an extremely difficult and lengthy process. The proposed workshop addresses strategies to market a community service program to the military community.
