What's New in Relationship Education for Teens and Young Adults?
Panelists will (i) outline the prevention rationale for focusing on the developmental periods of adolescence and emerging adulthood, especially in terms of preventing known health risks (intimate partner violence, high risk or unhealthy sexual behaviors, pregnancy, depression); (ii) describe several innovative RE programs targeted to high school students, at-risk youth, and college students using a variety of delivery strategies, including digital; (iii) present evidence of effectiveness from randomized controlled trials & quasi-experimental evaluations, including one and two-year follow-up results; (iv) describe gaps in research and future trends in programs including the use of social media for relationship education
