The publisher of NCFR’s scholarly journals, John Wiley & Sons, is proud to announce the establishment of an award in the field of family studies in memory of the late Alexis Walker, former NCFR president, NCFR Fellow, eminent scholar and pathfinder in the field.

The award of $5,000 will be presented biannually for the best original research paper by an emerging scholar published in the preceding two years. The first award will be presented in November 2013 in San Antonio, Texas, at the 75th conference of the National Council on Family Relations.
