The American Council of Learned Societies is happy to announce a new fellowship, the Public Fellows program, which will place eight recent PhDs in staff positions at partnering agencies in government and the non-profit sector for two years.  The Public Fellows program aims to demonstrate the value of employing skilled and accomplished young scholars in a variety of capacities, thereby broadening the academy's conventional ideas of the Ph.D. career path. Public Fellows will begin their positions in fall 2011.
