APA releases official stance on same sex marriage
August 16, 2011
The American Psychological Association just issued a resolution on marriage equality for same sex couples. According to the document, "...that the American Psychological Association calls on the federal government to extend full recognition to legally married same-sex couples, and to accord them all of the rights, benefits, and responsibilities that it provides to legally married different-sex couples." Research from NCFR journals is cited multiple times. Read the resolution here: http://www.apa.org/about/governance/council/policy/same-sex.aspx
