Call for Manuscripts - Special Family Science Review Issue
Guest Editors: Dr. Rebecca Adams, Ball State University; Dr. Debra L. Berke, Wilmington University; Dr. Raeann Hamon, Messiah College; and Dr. Suzanne Smith, Washington State University - Vancouver
We seek manuscripts from practicing family science/life educators that express the multitude of voices, perspectives, and journeys as educators in formal and informal educational settings. We ask authors to reflect upon their decision to teach about families, challenges that arise or have arisen over their career, specific practices or tools that are helpful, lessons learned, best practices for being a highly effective educator, suggestions for future educators, or a variety of other topics Your journey may address issues of power dynamics and identity (race, class, gender, sexual orientation, geographical location, and language and culture). You may also reflect on your thoughts on your profession, stories of the things you struggle with daily, and your decision to become and/or remain an educator.
Manuscripts should exemplify the highest quality of writing and be no longer than 12 double-spaced pages. Submission Deadline: October 1, 2011
Note to authors: Authors should send their article electronically to the editors. All articles will be peer reviewed and the reviewer comments sent electronically to the authors.
