Journal of Family Theory & Review
Special Issue Call for Papers - due March 1, 2012
December 06, 2011
The purpose of this special issue of the Journal of Family Theory & Review is to engage readers in a discussion of how critical feminisms inform family theory and research on social justice issues. Social justice research addresses issues such as racism, classism, religious oppression, sexism, heterosexism, transgender oppression, ableism, and ageism. For purposes of the special issue, the goal of social justice is to reduce structural violence and to allow the equal participation of all groups in a society that is mutually shaped to meet families' needs. Potential authors are encouraged to contact guest editor Lee Ann De Reus at lad12@psu.edu or JFTR deputy editor Libby Balter Blume at blumelb@udmercy.edu to discuss their ideas.
