NCFR member Dr. Suzanne M. Bianchi passed away Nov. 4, 2013, at age 61 in Santa Monica, California. She died of pancreatic cancer.

Dr. Bianchi was an NCFR member since 1998, and was a faculty member at the University of California, Los Angeles. She was a family demographer who studied time use in families; one of her primary findings was working mothers in the 1990s spent as much or more time with their kids as mothers did who stayed at home in the 1960s.
