NCFR Welcomes Deb Gentry as CFLE Academic Program Liaison

July 26, 2011

NCFR is pleased to announce that Dr. Deborah Gentry, CFLE, has been appointed as the new NCFR Academic Program Liaison. She will be replacing Mary Bold who has held the position for the past three years. We want to thank Mary for her service and contribution to the Academic Program Review!

Deborah has been working in academic institutions, secondary and post-secondary, for forty years. Her longest tenure has been with Illinois State University. She is currently involved in promoting continuing professional development for faculty and staff at Heartland Community College, Normal, IL. Her academic background (B.S., M.Ed., M.S., and Ed.D.) in family science, curriculum, instruction, and assessment has and will continue to serve her well. Deborah has been an active member and leader in the National Council on Family Relations, Groves, Family Science Association, and the Illinois Council on Family Relations for many years. And of course, she is a Certified Family Life Educator!

As Academic Program Liaison Deb will be responsible for working with academic programs seeking NCFR CFLE program approval and renewal. If you have questions about the Academic Program Review process or a program's current standing, you can contact her at debgentry@ncfr.org

Welcome Deb!
