Free Sociology of the Family textbook

This 18 chapter brief sociology of the family textbook was made available to the public free under open courseware license "attribute." Tens of thousands have visited the website and many faculty have adopted it as suggested or required textbook for their students. It includes a glossary and workbook. The workbook contains 90 self-assessments designed to increase self-awareness among students who learn to identify their own personal family traits in the broader social context.
