- Margaret E. Arcus Outstanding Family Life Educator Award (Presented in even years) - To honor the remarkable contribution made to family life education by Margaret E. Arcus during a long and productive career. To encourage that tradition of excellence and scholarship in family life education by recognizing family life education scholars and practitioners who advance the field of family life education. To increase the visibility and credibility of family life education scholarship and practice.
- Ernest Osborne Award (Presented in odd years) - To recognize and encourage outstanding teachers in the field of family studies. To recognize individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and excellence in the teaching of family relationships. It is in memory of Ernest G. Osborne, three-time president of NCFR, an outstanding family life educator at Teachers College, columbia University, New York, who excelled in innovative teaching methods.
- Student Proposal Awards - To recognize the quality proposals of students and encourage them to submit proposals to the Education and Enrichment Section.
