Family Policy

The Family Policy Section devotes itself to promoting effective social action for individuals and families by monitoring pressing policy issues, evaluating the potential impacts of new policies, working for effective change, and creating strategies to educate and raise awareness resulting in improved quality of life for individuals, families and society. A Focus Group consists of a set of NCFR members with a specific family life interest that is related to an existing NCFR Section, but that is not the sole focus of that Section. 

Section Awards

The Family Policy Section sponsors the Harold & Margaret Feldman Internship Award, the Harold & Margaret Feldman Travel Award, and the Harold & Margaret Feldman Outstanding Research Proposal for Research in Family Policy Award.

Section Governance

The bylaws of the National Council on Family Relations shall govern the Family Policy Section in all of its practices. The bylaws of this section shall not conflict with the bylaws of the National Council on Family Relations.
