  • AAC&U Institute on Campus Leadership for Sustainable Innovation.  A weeklong experience for teams of faculty members and an academic administrator to create learning-centered institutions.   http://www.aacu.org
  • AASCU Millenium Leadership Institute (MLI) is a four-day professional development institute held each June, followed by a year-long mentoring component with an assigned president or chancellor.  Designed to train people with the potential to become campus executive officers.  http://www.aascu.org/mli
  • ACE (OWHE) National Leadership Forums play an important role in the continuing identification and promotion of women for senior-level positions, especially presidencies.  Forums are invitational and are held twice each year.  Approximately 200 of the over 1,000 women who have attended a Forum have subsequently become college or university presidents.  http://www.acenet.edu/programs/owhe/forum.cfm

  • The African-American Leadership Program is a program for experienced African-American managers designed to stimulate a process of growth that will help each participant become more successful and productive.  In addition, it offers a secure forum for African-American professionals to explore, in a substantive way, those issues that impact their career objectives.  Individuals evaluate their own leadership styles, discuss how others perceive their effectiveness, and receive guidance in developing realistic, practical and effective plans for personal and professional growth.  Offered by the Center for Creative Leadership.  http://www.ccl.org/programs/aalp/index.html/

  • Asheville Institute in General Education.  A weeklong experience for teams of faculty and administrators working on a specific plan to improve their general education programs.

  • The Gannon Center for Women and Leadership (Loyola University of Chicago) promotes women’s studies programs and progress and provides archives documenting women in leadership and education.  It contributes to the development of women as scholars and leaders by providing outstanding role models and mentors, and by offering resources and research data enabling women to expand their contributions to the workplace, academia, and the community.  http://www/luc.edu/orgs/gannon/
