Learn More about Qualitative Research
If you have particular questions, the best person to ask is a mentor or colleagues who is experienced in qualitative methods. Other institutions have also set up forums. These include:
- University of Colorado Denver (predominantly medical, but also social and family)
- LinkedIn has a forum for online qualitative research
In addition to online forums, there are other institutions and conferences that offer training in qualitative methods, including:
Finally, the Qualitative Family Research Network hosts or promotes sessions dealing with aspects of qualitative family scholarship at the Annual Meeting of NCFR. In the past, these have explored teaching, research, and/or theory related to qualitative family research. Look for QFRN and for sessions related to qualitative methods in the schedule of the Annual Meeting!
