Ernest W. Burgess Award

The award is given in memory of Ernest W. Burgess, University of Chicago, NCFR co-founder and fourth president. Dr. Burgess was a pioneer in his contributions to marriage and family research in America. The award recognizes outstanding scholarly achievement during the course of a career in the study of families.

Reuben Hill Award

The award is presented to the author(s) of the best research article for the year prior to the award. The award is given in recognition of the outstanding article, book, or monograph that combines theory and methodology in the analysis and interpretation of a significant family issue

Anselm Strauss Award for Qualitative Family Research

This award is sponsored by the Qualitative Family Research Network Focus Groups (QFRN). The award recognizes significant work in the area of family theory, methods and/or research that comes from a qualitative tradition. The award is named for Anselm Strauss, whose life work was to develop and practice qualitative methodologies

 

Best Research Article Award

The Men in Families Focus Group Best Research Article Award is presented to the author(s) of the best research article related to men in families for the year prior to the award.

 

Best New Professional Research Article Award

The Men in Families Focust Group Best New Professional Research Article Award is presented to the new professional author of the best research article related to men in families for the year prior to the award.
