What Is an Elevator Pitch?

An elevator pitch refers to persuasively introducing someone to a concept during a short elevator ride. An elevator pitch is concise, easy to understand, and memorable to your audience. Learn more in NCFR's guide, How to Explain Family Science to Anyone.

Why Have an Elevator Pitch About Family Science?

Ultimately, to increase the impact Family Science can have in the world! If you're in Family Science or HDFS, you know what Family Science is and why it's important. But others still might not have heard of Family Science, or understand its uniqueness and the many ways Family Scientists make a difference. Explaining Family Science to more people will help to increase awareness, understanding, and use of Family Science in numerous ways throughout society.
