Purpose
The Work and Family Focus Group Award is a way to recognize and promote scholarly work in the area of work and family issues as well as to increase awareness of and participation in NCFR’s Work and Family Focus Group.
Award
All authors will receive an award certificate. The award will be presented at the NCFR Work and Family Focus Group Annual Meeting.
Criteria
- Proposals (all formats included) accepted for the annual NCFR conference are eligible.
- At least one author of the research article must be a member of NCFR.
Nomination/application process
Those who have an accepted proposal with work and family issues focus may be nominated. Committee members will review the conference program for those whose title indicates a work-family focus and request proposals from NCFR. NCFR will provide the proposals to the committee for review.
Deadlines
August 31: Submit all materials to the Work and Family focus group co-chairs Dimple Vadgama and Rui Tian.
Winner will be notified on NCFR Work and Family Focus Group discussion board every year.
Committee structure
Committee members (minimum of two) will be chosen at the annual Work and Family focus group meeting. Members of the Work and Family focus group who volunteer for one-year term will serve on the committee.
