Summer 2024: Working With Families in Difficult Moments

Submit articles by June 15, 2024

Many Family Life Educators support families as the families navigate difficult moments involving challenges such as discrimination, poverty, mental illness, physical illness, family separation and reunification, difficult conversations, and other challenging circumstances. Family Life Educators themselves also experience difficult moments, such as facilitating groups in which participants have polarizing viewpoints or navigating their own feelings of compassion fatigue. The purpose of the Summer 2024 issue of CFLE Network is to learn from each other’s experiences. One way to do this is by sharing your stories and strategies that you have found helpful as you have moved through difficult moments in your work.

Prospective authors should submit their articles through the CFLE Network Article Submission Form online at www.ncfr.org/form/cfle-network-article-submission-form by June 15, 2024. Before submission, please review the author guidelines on the CFLE Network newsletter page: www.ncfr.org/cfle-network. Contact the CFLE Network editor, Beth Magistad at [email protected] with questions, ideas, and intentions.
