Working with Military Families (Certificate)

T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics

Students enrolled in the working with military families certificate program combine academic coursework and military leadership training to gain skills in human development, marital and familial relationships, and family dynamics in the context of military culture.

The program teaches students to understand the complex challenges that military personnel, military families and veterans face, such as dealing with multiple deployments, war, combat, trauma and death. They study normative family processes, stress and coping with military culture and leadership.
