Parent and Family Education (B.A.)

Department of Psychology and Family Science

Parent & Family Education involves the method and practice of teaching. Teacher candidates will develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to become an effective parent and family educator, licensed to work with families in settings such as Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) which are unique to Minnesota. Teacher candidates will have opportunities to learn in a series of early childhood and adult education classes as well as a clinical field experience. Concordia’s program is fully accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Education Preparation (CAEP, formerly known as NCATE) and the Minnesota Professional Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB).
