Human Development and Family Science (B.S.)
The human development and family science bachelor's degree program at Kansas State University provides undergraduate students a strong foundation of coursework and experiences that will open doors for a variety of careers working with people of all ages in a variety of settings. A degree in HDFS also prepares students for graduate or professional school. Our graduates are in high demand, and are prepared to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families.
Our coursework focuses on human development across the lifespan, within the context of family and community. Students may elect to have an area of concentration or they complete an internship. HDFS students are also encouraged to participate in experiential learning through practicums, volunteering, education abroad and undergraduate research.
