Gerontology (Minor)

Are you compassionate toward the elderly and concerned about the challenges they encounter? Gerontology is a field of study that examines the social, cultural, psychological and physical changes associated with aging. Course topics include the health and psychological aspects of aging, fitness and the aging process, and death and bereavement in the family. With a degree in Gerontology, you will pursue a career path in an expanding field that can be incorporated into a variety of rewarding professions – from grief counseling to psychology.
