Human Development and Family Science is the scientific study of human growth and development across the lifespan in diverse social and cultural settings. The Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Applied Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) is a 30-credit program designed to meet the goals of individuals who seek to work in applied settings such as service agencies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Increasingly a broad background in the discipline of Human Development and Family Science, program evaluation, administrative skills, and an appreciation for working with diverse client communities has become essential for those working in organizations. Our program provides the knowledge and tools to help our graduates be successful.
