Minoring in Family Studies: There is no bachelors degree offered in the department, however there is a family studies minor, which prepares students to pursue graduate work in family studies, human development, or marriage and family therapy. The minor will: Help you grow, maximize your potential, understand yourself and others better, provide you with greater sensitivity and awareness to diversity and multi-cultural issues, give you scientific information about all aspects of human sexuality, cover a wide range of information about mate selection as well as couple and family functioning, and help you understand different approaches to couple/family therapy.

NCFR approval allows the school to offer their graduates the opportunity to apply for Provisional Certification using the Abbreviated Application process. The CFLE Checklist represents the courses that meet the CFLE criteria at that school. Students must complete all the courses on a checklist in order to qualify to apply for the CFLE designation through the Abbreviated Application process.
