14th Annual Black Issues Conference

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), in collaboration with the UTK chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and the Office of Multicultural Student Life will hold its 14th Annual Black Issues Conference on Feb. 2, 2019. The theme is Illuminating Our Power, Unveiling Our Truth. 

The purpose of this conference is to offer a forum for research and discussion of issues affecting the African American community. The Black Issues Conference features an outstanding keynote speaker and workshops. 

Proposals are invited for 50-minute workshop presentations on a topic that affects the black community and integrates elements of the conference theme. The deadline for proposals is Dec. 14, 2018. See full call for proposals
