2020 Teaching Family Science Conference

It is with a heavy heart that the Family Science Association announces the need to cancel the 2020 Teaching Family Science Conference planned for June 1st and 2nd. This decision was made in accordance with the Center for Disease Control guidelines and latest research on how professional organizations and community groups can help to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Those who have already paid conference registration fees can submit a request for a refund using this form: https://forms.gle/UCc13aqnc2e9n6TP6. The refund will be processed as quickly as possible. Please e-mail FSA Secretary Adam Clark ([email protected]) with any questions or concerns you may have so he can forward your query to the best outlet.
We look forward to seeing you at our next business meeting in St. Louis, and at next year's conference in South Dakota. More information about the 2021 conference will be sent in the coming months!

The Family Science Association Executive Board and 2020 Teaching Family Science Planning Committee
The Family Science Association has planned the 2020 Teaching Family Science Conference for June 1-2 in Asheville, North Carolina. The theme is "Teaching Family Science Amidst Growth and Change."
The call for proposals for the conference is posted online; proposals related to the conference theme will be accepted through Jan. 22, 2020.
Faculty and students are invited to discuss how change and innovation have influenced their teaching, classroom, and University experiences. Change is inevitable; how can we continue to effectively teach and learn amidst growth and change? We encourage Proposals are encouraged that evaluate classroom activities, modalities, and pedagogy. Proposals that include evidence of student learning and promote the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning are highly encouraged. Submit a 2-page summary of your presentation proposal to Dr. Meeshay Williams-Wheeler, CFLE at [email protected].
