A Virtual Conference on Family Advocacy and Family Policy: Caring for Families in the Exo- and Macro-Spheres

Conference dates: May 6 & 7 (Thursday & Friday); May 26 & 27 (Wednesday and Thursday); June 17 & 18 (Thursday & Friday)

Conference sessions will be held 1–5 p.m. EDT

The Groves Conference on Marriage and Family 2021 is focusing on both family policy and family advocacy. Papers submitted to be presented at the 2021 Conference should have an emphasis on either policy or advocacy. The subject of the presentation could cover a wide variety of topics based on all aspects of family life, including, but not limited to, that which focuses on children, elders, housing, health, and/or the family economy.

Proposals for presentation: Please submit an abstract no longer than 4 double-spaced pages. Devote at least one page of the abstract outlining the policy and/or advocacy implications of your work.

Teaching, counseling, and outreach during a pandemic: A second tract during the 2021 Conference will be an information and best practice exchange. What practices have you developed over the past year to better reach your students and clients?

Submit a proposal for a workshop, describing your “best practice” and how you plan to present it to Groves Conference attendees. Please keep proposal to no longer than 4 double-spaced pages.

Send abstract/proposal in Word format as an attachment emailed to Elizabeth Dolan no later than Feb. 25, 2021. In the subject line of the email message, please indicate that you are submitting a proposal for the Groves Conference 2021.
