You’ve identified sources of funding for your organization or practice, and it’s time to write your grant proposal. Or maybe you’ve successfully applied for and received a grant, but now what? In either scenario, you will need a plan to implement an awarded grant.

This webinar will pick up where our previous webinar on grant funding strategies left off. Whether you are new to grantseeking or you have been finding and managing grants for years, you will find something useful in this webinar to bolster your skills.

Presenter Marissa Heim, CFLE, has written secured, and reported on a variety of local, state, and federal grants, averaging over $2 million annually. Attendees will learn a variety of methods and techniques to plan for and manage grant funds. The webinar will also include a downloadable tool that can be used to track and manage grant details.

By the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  1. Follow funding and award guidelines, and understand grant contracts and agreements;
  2. Create a plan to manage your grant requirements, allocate funds, and track expenditures;
  3. Complete reports and maintain relationships with the funding agency.

About the Presenter

Marissa Heim, CFLE, is currently a grant writer and outreach and prevention manager at a domestic violence shelter programming in the Green Bay, Wisconsin community. Ms. Heim focuses her efforts on starting new, innovative programming for young adults focused on relationships and has brought multiple evidence-based programs to area schools and colleges, including a growing national program. She also started a domestic violence high risk team in the state of Wisconsin which connects key community partners to meet victim's needs and prevent future victimization. In 2021, she was named one of Greater Green Bay Chambers Future 15 Young Professionals of the year.

This webinar will provide general information on how to implement an awarded grant. By the end of the webinar, attendees will be able to follow funding/award guidelines, understand grant contracts, manage funds, and complete final reports for the funding agency.
