Families are looking for professional guidance, and increasingly, they're searching online for it. There are many thriving online businesses offering help for families, but those presenting the information may not be skilled in the 10 Family Life Education (FLE) content areas. Families who instead select professional Family Life Educators will receive the very best information available and gain knowledge critical for their success.

When building an online FLE practice, learning how to market online is essential. In this webinar, participants will learn how to: create a practice focus, choose the right technology, develop a marketing strategy, and adhere to legal and ethical standards.

Family professionals may feel overwhelmed trying to choose the best technology, or even the best social media platform to focus on. Webinar Presenter Tammy Whitten will demonstrate how defining a practice focus is a necessary first step before making any strategy decisions. Ms. Whitten will also show how exploring technology options does not need to be intimidating and can be a lot of fun.

Finally, Ms. Whitten will lead participants through a deep discussion on how to ethically and realistically market a practice on social media. She will highlight how certain marketing techniques may breach ethical standards and website terms of service, and offer alternatives that will yield results.

These tips and tricks will help participants save time and money, safeguard their practice, and reach more families in the process. Bring your notebooks and questions, and get ready for a fun and engaging webinar!

Intended audience: Family Life Educators, Therapists

Approved for 1.5 CFLE contact hours of continuing education credit.
