Information presented and discussion led by Debra Berke, Ph.D., CFLE
As educators, we want to create an environment in which people:
- freely and deeply learn,
- knowledge and skills are created/developed, and
- all involved thrive.
Educators create the above atmosphere by being deliberate about what is in the classroom environment – being thoughtful about the values, beliefs, actions, and stories that are shared within the classroom and how these are shared.
This Teaching Tuesday will address ways in which we can create strong, healthy learning environments for educators and students.
Teaching Tuesdays is a quarterly, interactive opportunity for NCFR members who teach in an academic setting to learn more about academic teaching. Presenter(s) will talk briefly about a topic related to teaching followed by a discussion with the presenter(s) and audience members. The discussion will focus on applying the information presented to enhance classroom pedagogy.
These events are free to all current NCFR members and meetings will be recorded.
