SECFR 2020 Conference Postponed - After careful consideration, extended discussion, and review of information gathered from registrants, SECFR has decided to postpone the annual conference to next year. As Board Members continue discussions on the best ways in which to move forward, information will be disseminated to those already accepted for presentation at the 2020 Conference on what to expect for 2021.

The Southeastern Council on Family Relations (SECFR), a regional affiliate of the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR), will hold its 2020 annual conference April 2-4 in Birmingham, Alabama. The theme is "A Vision for Families: Exploring and Solidifying Professional Identity in Family Sciences." The keynote speaker will be NCFR member Francesca Adler-Baeder, Ph.D., CFLE.

Family professionals from a nine-state region will come together for presentations from invited speakers, paper and poster presentations, and connecting with colleagues. SECFR includes the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Proposals are currently being accepted for papers, workshops, posters, and panel sessions/roundtables. The deadline for submissions was Dec. 15, 2019.  See full call for proposals.

Approved for 8 hours of CFLE continuing education credit.
