The Southeastern Council on Family Relations (SECFR), a regional affiliate of the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR), will hold its 2020 annual conference April 2-4 in Birmingham, Alabama. The theme is "A Vision for Families: Exploring and Solidifying Professional Identity in Family Sciences." The keynote speaker will be NCFR member Francesca Adler-Baeder, Ph.D., CFLE.

Family professionals from a nine-state region will come together for presentations from invited speakers, paper and poster presentations, and connecting with colleagues. SECFR includes the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Proposals are currently being accepted for papers, workshops, posters, and panel sessions/roundtables. The deadline for submissions is Dec. 15, 2019.  See full call for proposals.

The 2019 conference was approved for 6.5 CFLE contact hours of continuing education credit. Credits for 2020 TBA.
