Special Topic Meeting: Promoting Character Development Among Diverse Children and Adolescents

The Roles of Families, Schools, and Out-Of-School-Time Youth Development Programs
Location
Philadelphia, PA

Parents, educators, and practitioners have a united interest in identifying the qualities of youth associated with positive characters development. There is a growing academic interest in character as a key indicator of child development, and how it can benefit individuals and society as a whole.

The Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD) is hosting this conference to bring together developmental scientists, philosophers, educators, and practitioners to advance theory, research, and program practices pertinent to understanding character development as it occurs within and across the key settings of youth development. Youth and family professionals who work to promote character development will have much to add to the discussions at this special topic meeting.

Submissions are now being accepted for this special topic meeting - deadline March 27, 2018
