Supporting Military Teens: Community Healthy Living and Food Security Programs
Join OneOp, a free and open-access multidisciplinary professional development resource for providers serving military families, for their webinar. This webinar will explore the goals and management of the AmeriCorps VISTA project, a community-based initiative that engages youth and supports food security in local communities. Engaging military teens through programs focused on food access, nutrition literacy, and healthy eating habits can equip them with the knowledge to help them learn and grow. This webinar will explore the goals and management of the AmeriCorps VISTA project and provide examples of how to implement similar lessons in work with supporting families experiencing food insecurity. Additionally, attendees will learn more about programs and initiatives bridging the gap between resources and teens and families needing such resources. By the end of this webinar presentation, attendees will be able to:

Identify ways to incorporate healthy living and food security initiatives locally.
