Free webinar / Hosted by the Military Families Learning Network

Providing care for families and children is uniquely important during times of crisis and disaster. Preparing for and dealing with disasters can lead to difficult feelings, conversations, and concern. During COVID-19, each family has faced unique challenges and each member of the family has experienced the current health emergency in different ways.

This session will discuss practical tips and strategies for clinicians, Extension educators, and support-service providers working with parents as they navigate challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic considering socio-emotional development and resilience. This session will also speak to the need to plan for increases in domestic violence and child maltreatment during emergencies, and what serving victims in this context looks like.

Approved for 1.5 hours of CFLE continuing education credit.
