Family Science (Accelerated B.A.)

Department of Psychology and Family Science

This 40-credit hour degree provides students with the educational foundation to plan, implement and evaluate strategies that promote positive growth and development within families of all types. The curriculum covers key topic areas like the stages of development, family systems and family law. Concordia’s online B.A. in Family Science degree program is approved by the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR). Students can choose between a certified or non-certified track, but must do so before the third course in the Family Science degree program. Graduates of the certified track earn the designation of Certified Family Life Educator*.

*Students receiving the CFLE designation will not be required to sit for certifying exam as the program coursework is endorsed by the National Council of Family Relations meeting all criteria without an exam.
