Department of Marriage & Family Therapy

The Master of Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) program will prepare you to lead as a culturally competent therapist who can critique and transform systems in public mental health clinics, schools and private practice. You will be trained to address a spectrum of challenges such as relationship stressors, family dysfunction, parenting concerns, and behavioral difficulties facing families, couples, adults and children.

The program meets the requirements of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. With the completion of the program and fulfillment of other state-mandated requirements, you will be eligible for the State of California’s Marriage and Family Therapy license.
